Hannah + Andrew: Wedding #1
Guys -- This blog post has been sitting in my drafts just waiting to be shared for six whole months!!! I've been dying to share these photos, and honestly the fact that I was able to stick it out for six months is a miracle LOL.
Hannah and Andrew were supposed to get married in a big, beautiful ceremony on June 27, 2020. When the pandemic shut everything down in March, they decided that they would wait to have their big wedding reception, but they still wanted to tie the knot on their original wedding date. So they did!!
Hannah and Andrew got married in a beautiful private ceremony on June 27. They stood on the front steps of West University Baptist Church in Houston on a beautiful June afternoon and exchanged vows, surrounded only by their parents, the pastor, and the photographer.
The excitement on Hannah and Andrew's faces as they said "I Do" was such a beautiful reminder of what's truly important on your wedding day: exchanging vows. It can be so easy to get caught up in all of the details and focus more on the reception, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is that you're married to the love of your life.
My absolute favorite part of having a private ceremony and not having to rush to a reception is that we have SO MUCH TIME for sunset newlywed photos!! After the ceremony, we headed to a nearby park to take photos of the new Mr. and Mrs. Horsfield. Not to be dramatic, but they looked like they stepped right out of a bridal magazine. It was probably 100 degrees out with 100% humidity, but they still managed to look amazing. We brought a little speaker along and they got to have their first dance together in the middle of Helen's Park. What a beautiful moment!
I'm so happy to have been there for Hannah and Andrew's wedding not once, but TWICE! What an incredible way to become friends with your clients!!
